Embedding a Google tour on your site
To embed a Google virtual tour, you’ll need to be on a desktop computer, on a modern browser, and connected to the internet.
Here’s our detailed, step-by-step breakdown!
- Locate and access the tour
Go to Google Maps and search for the business or location with the virtual tour you want to embed, clicking on the 360 thumbnail to enter the virtual tour…
- Position
Click and drag to move your window to the desired angle, orientation, and zoom level.This will be the view you embed the Google tour on your site. - Share Options
Look for the “Share” button, usually found in the top right corner…
- Selecting the embed method
In the sharing screen that pops up, click on the ‘Embed a map’ tab pictured here…
- Copy the embed code
Copy the provided HTML code, which uses the iframe element, to embed a Google tour.
- Slap it on your website!
Navigate to the page in your website where you would like the tour to appear, and paste the code. Depending on your website, if you are using a Content Management System (CMS), this may involve using an HTML embed option.If all has gone well, you should now have a Google tour embedded on your website!
