Carnegie Hall Theatre | 360 virtual tour

Carnegie Hall Theatre

Set in the heart of Dunfermline in Scotland, Carnegie Hall wanted to differentiate its digital presence by offering something beyond a standard venue tour. Their goal was to create an experience that showcases the rich atmosphere of their Art Deco theatre, offers behind-the-scenes access to build intrigue, and highlights the actors, directors and technicians who make performances possible.

To elevate their website and social outreach, they needed a virtual tour that captured both space and spirit.

Walk through their Google Maps Virtual Tour and get a taste of what a night at the theatre could be like, and take a peek backstage!

How we created Carnegie Hall’s virtual tour

During our discovery session and walking through, the theatre decided they would like to choreograph actors and staff to add some character and intrigue to their tour.

Once plans and shooting schedule were agreed, our team visited to capture the high-resolution panoramic orbs using our 360 camera system. Images were edited to remove the tripod and pinch points, before producing the immersive tour ready to hit visitor’s screens.

Our tour highlights include:

  • Backstage access: capturing and sharing an insight into what life is like behind the curtain, where actors  are preparing and production crews preparing sets, places the public rarely sees.
  • Story-led navigation: beginning by entering the theatre’s traditional foyer area with box office in view, the tour leads visitors to their seats, before allowing them to walk down and onto the stage, and going backstage!
